The Song Of The Willow Tree

Joseph Mayo Wristen

And I will take you down
to where the streams of
our Mother will whisper
your names and the birds
of song will never let
man forget your sacrifice.

Where the breath of the
wind will touch your
children’s face and the Sun
will warm their hearts with
joy of thankfulness knowning
how our world would
be if not for your sacrifce.

Add Keyword Tags

Separate each tag with a space. You may add as many tags as you'd like to each poem.

What are tags?
Tags, sometimes called “folksonomies,” are words that describe or categorize a poem, like “20th century modernism” or “Italian sonnet”. Tags can help you find poems that have something in common, based on how other people classify them.
