The Young Ones, Flip Side [French] (La Jeunesse, Face B)

James A. Emanuel

Tuyaux de poêle et jupe rétrécie,
serrée, étirée,
La jeunesse peine.
Tellement on la comprime,
Il faut que la chair s’exprime,
Dissimule ses doutes,
Joue du regard et des hanches,
Fanfaronne du fard,
En poses provocantes.

Mais quoi qu’on fasse,
La jeunesse fait mal
Et puis passe.

Add Keyword Tags

Separate each tag with a space. You may add as many tags as you'd like to each poem.

What are tags?
Tags, sometimes called “folksonomies,” are words that describe or categorize a poem, like “20th century modernism” or “Italian sonnet”. Tags can help you find poems that have something in common, based on how other people classify them.
