Biography of Winifred Letts

Born 1882 in Lancashire, England. Spent many holidays in Knockmaroon, Phoenix Park, Dublin - her mother's home. After her father's death, she and her mother returned to Ireland and lived in Blackrock, Co. Dublin. She attended Alexandra College, Dublin. Married William Henry Foster Verschoyle and lived in Fitzwilliam Square, Dublin. Also had land in Kilberry, Co Kildare.

Returned to England temporarily after her husband's death. In the late 1950s, she bought Beech Cottage in Killiney and lived there until the last '60s/very early '70s, when she moved into Tivoli Nursing Home, Dún Laoghaire, where she died in 1972.
